Getting Something For Nothing
Sometimes, a business will entice you to make a purchase by giving you something for free. Usually, it's something that, in and of itself, is pretty useless. In the case of Site Submission, promotion sites usually give you free submission to 5, 10, 20, or 30 search engines in order to get you to subscribe to their pay service, which will submit your site to many more search engines. Of course, these posts are about getting submission services for free, so here is the procedure.
Listed below are some submission sites that offer free submission services. Using only one or two will not be very effective, however, if you use 10-20 of these sites, you can get your site submitted to quite a few search engines.

If you would like to submit to more sites, here is the Google search I did to get this information:
*** NOTE: Some of these submission sites will require you to add a button or a link to their site, to your site. In order to satisfy the requirement without cluttering up the look and feel of your site, place the code they give you inside of HTML comment tags . This will make whatever is between the comment tags invisible to the site visitor, but it will still be within the page for verification.
