Web Site Promotion For The Small Business v2
December 22, 2007
I've mentioned the alt tag before, but I have not consolidated all of the information related to optimizing images into one post. As I was surfing, I came across a post on another web site that did so I thought it was time. Images are a big part of today's web sites. If not properly optimized, they can hurt PageRank and even impede navigation of your site. Here are the primary items you want to handle as it pertains to images on your site:
- Image Size
- Image Close to Relevant Text
- Page Title & Page Theme
- File Name
- Alt Tags
- Image Title Tags
- Image Sitemap
OK. So I didn't give detailed information about each item. In order to be fair to the web site where I read the information, I omitted it. You will have to go to their web site to get that information. Believe me, it's worth it.
